Asher is a fairly new walker.
Waiting for him to learn how and gain the confidence to walk on his own felt like the longest process.
I wanted it for him so badly that I created deadlines for his development.
I wanted him to walk early, then by his first birthday, or before my wedding,
Asher did neither.
He took his time, he was careful, he was observant.
He knew he didn’t have to rush because he trusted that mommy would take him where he NEEDS to go.
The day that it clicked for him, he didn’t stop there….
He is now running, climbing , jumping, and even walking up steps. He is doing more than what I gave him a deadline on because it is time for him to.
It is beautiful to want more out of life. Setting goals, timelines and achieving them feelings amazing but what’s even better than that is being sure we’re operating in God’s timing rather than creating the deadline we want.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say on the LORD.
Psalm 27:14
Be patient, observant , and most of all Trust in God’s perfect timing. You may not understand why some things didn’t go the way you planned , why you just can’t seem to reach that goal but trust there is a purpose. The day that things click for you the way walking clicked for Asher, you will not just walk into your destiny, you will RUN into it.
